There were 2 different sects of women we found in our ancient scripture Rig Veda..
The women who strive for the highest philosophical knowledge of Brahman were known as Brahmavadini ("women ascetics"), Others, who are belived to be householder, dedicate themselves to the welfare of their family were known as Sadyovadhu. Some important names of "Brahmavadini" were Vak Ambhrini, Lopamudra, Vishwawara, Sikta, Ghosha, and Maitreyi.
Nowadays we can easily connected these concepts with working (having a dream or ambition to make their own place or identity) and non working (dedicated to their families and liabilities) women.
Now, when the question is about a woman can change the perspective or Psychology of a man with her immense love, we must study one legend i.e. The story of "LOPAMUDRA."
We found her name in three places, i.e. In Rigveda, in Mahabharata and in Giridhara Ramayana. Among them we can get the detailed description of her legend in Mahabharata.
Generally, LOPAMUDRA was also known as Kaushitaki and Varaprada. She was a female philosopher, later she became the wife of Sage Agastya.
In Rigveda among 27 Rishis and Rishikas, who authored hymns, we find Lopamudra's hymn, which has six verses those are dedicated to Goddess Rati (Goddess of love). Her hymns focused on the relationship between husband and wife in order to follow celibacy. Among those six verses only first 2 verses were composed by herself where as 3rd and 4th were composed by her husband Sage Agastya and there was a confusion about the composition of last two verses, some believe those are composed by Agastya or some believed those are composed by one of Agastya's students. although, all the six verses are about "Lopamudra and her feelings." Lopamudra is credited to have composed hymn number 179 in the Rigveda. In Rigveda Agastya and Lopamudra are considered as "mantra drashta" (seers who are discoverer of mantras) and "Mantradrika" (well versed in mantras). She is also mentioned in Yajurveda and in Agama granthas.
In the Aranyaka parvan of the epic Mahabharata the story of Agastya and Lopamudra narrated in details.
Once Agastya who had attained benefit of his long penance through asceticism went to the heaven where on his way he saw a few manes suspended with their legs up over a gorge. Surprised, Agastya asked them the reason for their such situation. They told him that they were his (Agastya's) ancestors waiting for a son to be born to their descendant to get release from this curse. it was now left to Agastya, to get married and give birth a son, who can perform the funeral practices and get them released from the curse so that they could go to heaven. Agastya promised the manes of his ancestors that he would fulfill their wish.
Agastya then started creating a woman with an overwhelming beauty and intelligence. He did this creation from most graceful parts of various creatures possessing such a beauty (different birds, animal and flower, the eyes of the doe, the grace of the panther, the slenderness of the palm trees, the fragrance of the champak flower, the softness of the feather on a swan's neck etc.) At that time the king of Vidharbha, who was childless, was doing penance to gods seeking boon to get a child. Agastya bestowed his creation to the king with a condition of marry her when she became adult enough. As the girl child emerged into the world, in glowing beauty, the king called the Brahmins to bless the child. The Brahmins named her Lopamudra. As the creation was done due to the loss of parts of creatures (animals and plants) the girl was named Lopamudra, 'lopa' meaning "loss" and 'mudra' meaning "parts." She grew up to be a very pretty, learned and devoted daughter. At the time of marriage although her father opposed but Lopamudra volunteered to marry Agastya.
After the wedding, Agastya took her to the forest to live with him, Agastya told Lopamudra to discard all her royal attire and ornaments and wear clothes fit for an ascetic's wife. She obeyed her husband and wore rags, deer skins and bark for her clothes. She dutifully, respectfully, lovingly and willingly served Agastya in his religious practices and penance. But still Agastya was not attracted to her beauty. However, after a long lapse of time, Lopamudra was taking swimming in a naked state and her seductive figure attracted Agastya who then wanted to have sex with her to beget a son who would full fill his promise to his ancestors and relieve them of their curse. However, Lopamudra was then not willing as she put a condition that she would sleep with him only if she got all the riches and the princely comforts that she enjoyed at her father's place. Reluctantly Agastya went out for seeking wealth and after a huge struggle he returned with all the luxuries. Then he cohabited with Lopamudra and after conceiving for 7 years Lopamudra delivered a baby boy, named Drdhasyu, who was learned enough to encounter 1000 evils, He was highly knowledgeable in Vedas and Upanishad. As he helped his father in sacrificial rites of his ancestors with wood he was named Idhmavaha (carrier of sacrificial Wood).
Giridhara Ramayana has a different story of Lopamudra. Agastya approached king of Kanyakubja who had many daughters seeking a girl in marriage. The king promised the sage a girl when they come of age and asked him to come back a few years later. By the time the sage returned, however, the king had married off all his daughters. He was so worried about getting cursed, that he dressed his son Lopamudra as a girl and presented him to Agastya. Miraculously, Lopamudra was transformed and became a woman after the wedding. (Somewhere it shows a transsexual concept, in many other legends we can see this concept.)
So, here we see how much a woman is important to generate a new generation as well as how she becomes responsible to give the "moksha" after death. Apart from that have you noticed how a woman change the psychology of a man?? How an ascetic became householder, an anchorite was went out in searching of luxury !!, is not a magic which a woman can do?? So, don't be misleaded, Our scriptures always support a girl child, and also we should.
Yes only a woman has the capacity to support the psychological aspects of her partner, and with correct patience and understanding she also can bring some changes on men...
We can see so many stories of women psychology rules over men (like Sati, Parvati, Savitri, Behula and many others) in our purans, Vedas, folk tales etc. So, keep patience, keep support a man, keep belief on yourself. Ladies, Trust me your every problem will be sorted.
